Back page Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard went out with a bang on his last visit to Stamford Bridge, calling out Chelsea’s supporters after the game.
Gerrard, who netted his side’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw, was giving a rousing ovation as he was substituted on 79 minutes but pulled no punches when asked for his thoughts on the moment.
The Chelsea fans showed respect for a couple of seconds but slaughtered me all game, so I’m not going to get drawn into wishing them well. It’s nice of them to turn up for once today.
