Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers joined Jamie Carragher on Monday Night Football to discuss his time at the club and some of his philosophies.
A divisive character in his time at Anfield, Rodgers left the club in October 2015 after three-and-a-half years in charge.
His MNF appearance was used to reflect on tactics and his use of certain players like Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, and Rodgers believes that the departure of the latter has caused the goals to dry up over the past 18 months.
My sole focus in my three-year contract was to get the club there. We did that in two seasons.
And when we arrived into the Champions League and we didn’t have a squad as good, I felt, as the previous one.
