Ronaldinho leaves Fluminense after just nine games, is this the end?

Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho has parted company with Fluminense two months after signing with them, the club has confirmed today.

The 35-year-old former Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain playmaker turned out nine times for Fluminense having arrived from Mexican side Queretaro back in July.

However, his match preparation had been called into question and he leaves without registering a single goal or assist.

Fluminense hereby announces the breaking of their contract with Ronaldinho Gaucho in an amicable form and in mutual agreement between both parties.

Official club statement

There will no doubt be interest from other clubs given the commercial value that Ronaldinho still holds, but will the player himself have the motivation for another fresh start?

  1. Fluminense is a horrible team plain and simple. I watched some of the games and seen the highlights of the ones I missed just to see how Ronaldinho was doing in that club. Ronaldinho’s style of assisting takes quality players to pull off and Fluminense have none of them. Ronaldinho may be past his prime and his finishing skill has decrease, but his assisting skill is still very good… if on the right team that can handle them.
