Report: Bilic wants Lacazette to spearhead West Ham’s attack next season.

West Ham United will be looking to build on a strong Premier League season, and boss Slavan Bilic is targeting a high profile striker for his squad.

The Evening Standard believes that Bilic has identified the man to fill the role – Lyon’s prolific Alexandre Lacazette.

Lacazette, 24, has scored 18 goals in 31 matches for Lyon so far this season but is keen to move to the Premier League.

West Ham are currently sixth in the Premier League table having scored 57 goals – the sixth-highest in the division – but none of their strikers have reached double figures in the top flight this term.

L’EQUIPE has stated that both West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur have tabled bids for Lacazette but the Hammers are in the driving seat as they are more willing to guarantee the player a starting spot.

Lacazette’s goals tally this season, while impressive, is a drop off from the whopping 27 he bagged from 34 outings in the 2014/15 campaign.

He has played ten times for France, scoring just once to date.
