Poka is the informal “Goodbye” in Russian and if this morning’s news is anything to go buy, Spartak Moscow’s Quincy Promes will be saying it soon.
Quincy Promes – Meat on the Move
According to a source inside Sports Entertainment Group (SEG), there are three clubs already in contact with them regarding one of their prime stars, Dutchman Quincy Promes.
Promes finished top scorer in the Russian Premier League with a paltry 15 goals. He had 21 in all competitions in 2018-19 and at 26 years of age, he’s just peaking.
His exploits this season were not helped by Spartak Moscow’s civil war and outgoing head coach, Massimo Carrera, being blocked from bringing in any of his five transfer targets in the Winter.
All the same, Quincy showed occasional flashes of brilliance and if he were to grow a pair and heart, he’d be a solid performer in any of the top European Leagues.
Rumoured moves to various clubs last summer and this winter were largely figments of fevered journos imaginations or, as the source said, an attempt by his club to force the price up.
He was never going to Southampton or Liverpool, despite some Spartak hanger on’s trying to keep the lie going. In any case, he’s three years still to run on his Spartak deal.
However, this morning, this journalist was informed that three clubs have opened discussions with his agency to secure the winger-cum-striker’s services for 2018-19 so it might be worth looking at a codice promo eurobet.
Spartak will be cleaning house after they failed to get a direct shot at the Champions League group stages and with a new head coach yet to be named, they are looking at a substantial income drop and run in the Europa League.
Who’s in for Quincy?
Regardless of whether Mauricio Pochettino stays or goes, Tottenham Hotspur made contact last week. The source wouldn’t say if Spartak were involved, though it seems likely they are.’
No figures mentioned yet, however getting Quincy Promes onto the same pitch as Harry Kane might just push Spurs into the top two, and Harry might have more goals to claim.
Newcastle United have also checked up on Quincy as they look to strengthen their attack after a surprisingly good season. Rafael Benitez is an admirer of the player and Promes has been scouted here for Newcastle twice this year. Promes would not be bothered by Newcastle weather.
AS Roma are looking to the Netherlands international to add firepower ahead of the new season. A cash-loan-option to buy deal is going on the table and Roma midfielder, and friend of Promes, Kevin Strootman has recommended his signing. Massimo Carrera and Spartak had rejected a mid-season overture by the Romans for a loan-to-buy deal in January.
No rush or urgency required?
Spartak will be in no hurry to flog their most expensive asset as they will not replace 15 goals in a hurry. Though as the source said, the post-World Cup frenzy might well damage Promes’ price.
London, Newcastle, Rome. For €25million Quincy Promes will be landing there before the summer is out.
