Betting on Manchester City

Manhester City have been a bit disappointing this season, especially when their rivals have faltered. When Arsenal dropped three points against Chelsea, a win would have taken City straight to the top. But their 2-2 draw against West Ham meant Leicester City went back to the top.

In that game, City struggled to earn the point against a determined West Ham United, who took the lead twice through Enner Valencia, but two goals from Sergio Aguero ensured they did not make the trip for nothing.

With the best record at home of nine wins, one draw and two losses, they surely know how to win at Etihad. At home, they have garnered 28 points, which is five better than what Arsenal has gotten at the Emirates.

Offensively, they have scored 33 goals at home, nine better than the second-highest scorers on home turf, Everton. This striking force is led by Aguero and a midfield commanded by none other than the towering Yaya Toure, Leicester will need to be at their very best to stop this onslaught.

Despite injuries, Aguero has managed 16 total goals this season, way better than what most of the strikers who have been fit for the better parts of the year.

Then there is the pace and dribbling of Raheem Sterling that must be put on check if Leicester are to get anything out of this game.

Sterling is City’s second highest scorer with 10 goals. Against a Leicester side that has conceded 13 on the road, City will have to do be at its best to ensure the three points remain on their back yard.

In terms of injuries, Kevin de Bruyne, Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany, Wilfried Bony, Fabian Delph and Eliaquim Mangala are all out injured.

Betting on Leicester City

Leicester City keep continue to dazzle the EPL every time they go out. Their 3-0 win over Stoke City ensured they got back to the top of the league, thanks to an Arsenal loss and a Manchester City draw.

Jamie Vardy scored the second goal to take his season’s tally to 16, making him the EPL top scorer.

With Leicester’s league-best away record of seven wins, four draws and one loss, Man City will have their work cut out for them. This attack is led by two of the best strikers in English football in Vardy and Riyad Mahrez who have scored a combined 29 goals in the EPL.

Away from home, Leicester have score 23 goals, standing out as the best away tally in the league this season, two more that what second placed Arsenal have.

It will however not be easy, as they will face a Manchester City defence that has conceded just 12 goals at home, which is among the top five best home defensive records.

Defensively, Leicester look strong but have not been the best as they have conceded 13 goals compared to the 11, which is what Southampton and Manchester City have conceded. Jeffrey Schlupp, Daniel Amartey and Matthew James will all miss this encountered due to injuries.

Manchester City v Leicester City betting predictions

Manchester City look to have the firepower to ensure all three points will remain at Etihad. Leicester will, however, not make it easy for them, and an upset is a strong possibility.

Still, the news about Guardiola should fire up the Citizens for a better performance at home, most probably leading to a win.
