LIVE: FAI Cup Final

[liveblog]It’s the big one – the FAI Cup Final where Premier Division runners up Sligo Rovers take on promoted First Division side Shelbourne at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Sligo go into the game as heavy favourites after another excellent season under Paul Cook but in Alan Matthews, Shels have a manager who has been involved in six of the last eight FAI Cup Finals.

Will the trophy be staying in Dublin after the game or will it be making the journey to the north west of Ireland?

Kick off is at 3.30pm and you can let us know your thoughts via the chat box on the right hand side of the page, or by sending us a tweet on Twitter.

  1. I presumed i would be seeing a higher standard of refereeing than i normally see week to week in the 1st division, but take a bow Mr Winter because that was shocking! Love the fact that you didnt consult your assisstants at all throughout the game(especially before the big decisions you got wrong) and wouldnt even converse with the club captains.

I would say relegate that guy down a division but his performance on sunday is worse than any refereeing performance ive seen all year, including Rob Rogers(at least he had terrible conditions to deal with and was always willing to talk to his assisstants when a major decision needed to be made).
