Ireland’s opponents confirmed for Euro 2016

The Republic of Ireland will face Belgium, Sweden and Italy after being drawn in Group for next summer’s European Championships in France.

The draw was made in Paris today, and Ireland’s three group games will be in Saint-Denis at the Stade de France, Bordeaux, and Lille.

The draw wasn’t very kind to Northern Ireland either, who have been lumped in with Germany, Poland and Ukraine, while England and Wales are both in Group B.

Hosts France will be pleased with their draw having been joined by Albania, Romania and Switzerland in Group A.
