Ireland ok after hospital visit

Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland has been given the all clear after being taken to hospital following his side’s Carling Cup win over Fulham last night.

The club’s current Player of the Year was substituted after 75 minutes of the game after complaining of dizziness.

Ireland, 23, underwent tests following his hospital admission but no problems were discovered.

He will be given time off by the club to rest, though is expected to return to training on Saturday ahead of Monday night’s Premier League clash with West Ham at the City of Manchester Stadium.
