Ger McCarthy makes a welcome return to the podcast this week and joins Neil Sherwin and Willie Gannon to discuss the Premier League, FA Cup, African Cup of Nations and Rangers’ financial troubles amongst other things.

The podcast kicks of with the biggest football news of the weeks as Ger McCarthy has renamed his Twitter account from ‘@offcentrecircle’ to the rather imaginative ‘@germccarthy74’.

Once the shock of such a change has sunk in, the lads move to dicsuss the latest Premier League news, including the well worn suarez/Evra fiasco, Carlos Tevez’s return to the Manchester City, and the sacking of Mick McCarthy at Wolves.

Focus then switches to the FA Cup as there some discussion over the odd for various upsets this weekend.

In part two, Ger fills us in on the week’s Champions League games before bringing Neil and Willie up to speed on the final of the African Cup of Nations where Zambia claimed an emotional penalty shootout win over the Ivory Coast.

The last main topic of the week is the financial plight of Glasgow Rangers, before Willie rounds things off with a little story concerning Aaron Ramsey’s goalscoring exploits.
