The first week of Champions League action takes up a large portion of this week’s show, kicking off with Manchester City’s late loss to Bayern Munich. Were they good value for a point or do they continue to exhibit an inferiority complex in the competitions?
It was an average couple of days for the English sides with only Liverpool winning, in unconvincing fashion, while Arsenal and Chelsea would have expected better results from their two games.
There’s a look at Irishman Cillian Sheridan who was in action against Barcelona and Paul lets us know who his second side is after Brendan Rodgers’ men.
On to the Premier League and there’s some reflection around last weekend’s games including a cracker at The Emirates, while Manchester United fans finally have something to sing about thanks to a convincing win over Queens Park Rangers.
Aston Villa get some much deserved praise for their excellent start to the campaign before the pod rounds out with a chat about Alan Pardew and the excellent website that is trying to orchestrate his removal from Newcastle United.
