David James is bankrupt and now you can buy his stuff

Former England, Liverpool and Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has fallen on hard times to the point where his personal assets are being sold off.

The 44-year-old played 53 times for his country and would have made big bucks in his time as a Premier League star but now he is being forced to sell more than 150 items.

Included in the auction are jerseys James wore himself, others that were swapped with opposition players and subsequently signed, other sporting memorabilia, and non football related items such as customised Raleigh Chopper bikes.

DJing equipment, a chain saw, an “I love NY” mug, and a Vauxall Astra three door van are also on the list.

James is currently the player-manager of Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC.
