With only a few week gameweeks left, Ruining Football have gambled with the captaincy this week with Carlos Tevez getting the armband in a decision that could go either way.
At first glance, Carlos Tevez as captain seems like a no brainer. City are at home, banging in goals for fun, and the Argentine has been at the heart of it all.
However the game this weekend is also the Manchester Derby and nobody knows what’s going to happen in a game like that.
Tevez will either have a blinder and add to his already impressive goal tally for the season or he will be kept very quiet by Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
Hopefully it’s the former.
This week’s transfer has been used to ditch the yet again injured Fernando Torres with former favourite Darren Bent returning to the fold given his favourable matchup at home to a horrible Burnley team.
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba completes a forward line that has scored goals for fun this season, and they will be ably supported by Adam Johnson and Florent Malouda who have been good contributors from midfield lately.
Matthew Etherington is an injury doubt however, and will be replaced by Birmingham’s Roger Johnson if he fails to make it.
At the back, Aston Villa duo James Collins and Carlos Cuellar have a double gameweek and you would fancy at least one cleansheet from games againt Portsmouth and Hull.
Last week the team scored a total of 44 points with a woeful defensive performance costing us dearly, though Thomas Sorensen in goal did contribute seven points.
Tevez and Drogba again carried the load with Leighton Baines and Adam Johnson bagging an assist each.
The team currently sits in 34,742nd place out of a total of 2,307,236 teams.
