Boxing Day bonanza

The hectic festive season kicks off this weekend with a full compliment of Premiership fixtures, making it a busy time for fantasy football managers.

The Fantasy Cup kicked off last weekend and Ruining Football progressed comfortably 47-34 against English side Buyher Lederhosen, and now take on totalloeb from Malaysia.

A decent return of 1o points from skipper James Milner helped, but it was Wolves’ Jody Craddock who was most impressive as he bagged a clean sheet and an assist in the win over Burnley.

Clint Dempsey also got an assist to go with his bonus point for a solid seven point return, and Aston Villa’s clean sheet meant six points for Luke Young.

However, the usually profitable forward line of Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and Darren Bent contributed a poor five points between them.

Torres has been given the captain’s armband this weekend due to a home game against Wolves, meaning Craddock is dropped to the bench.

Ryan Shawcross is again a doubt, but Stoke could find themselves up against it as they face Manchester City in Roberto Mancini’s first game in charge at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Cesc Fabregas could return from injury for Arsenal against Aston Villa, but if he doesn’t play then Andy Reid is a solid replacement.

It was tough to decide which goalkeeper to go with but Birmingham’s strong defence meant Joe Hart has got the nod against chelsea who are without a number of first team players.

The team currently sits in 19,602nd place out of a total of 2,205,122 teams.
