Big matches in the Premier League this weekend

There is two big Premier League games this weekend with Leeds United against Chelsea first up. Leeds have been brilliant this season because they attack at all costs regardless who they are playing or what score it is in the match.

Leeds have been a breath of fresh air this season and most fans would rather watch Leeds than watch their own team. Leeds need a result because they have lost their last few games and they probably need one more win to guarantee survival in the Premier League.

Chelsea have improved under Thomas Tuchel because they have got more clean sheets in the last few weeks and they are harder to break down. Tuchel has restored confidence their new signings such as Timo Werner and Kai Havertz and even N’Golo Kante looks like he is back to his best in the last couple of games.

A lot of fans weren’t sure how Tuchel would do as Chelsea manager but it has started of great because he is putting his own philosophy on the squad and he has got some big results so far especially getting away wins against both Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.

This game has the makings of been a great game because with Chelsea in good form and Leeds will attack in the match. I think that both teams will score but I think Chelsea will win 3-2.

The second big match of the weekend is the clash of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs have got two big wins in the last week against both Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Gareth Bale has been outstanding for Spurs in the last few weeks and it is mad that he wasn’t getting his game until the last few weeks because he is quality. The last few games Spurs have played Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Deli Alli and Bale in the same team this has worked effectively and it is great that they are going with an attacking formation.

If Spurs could find a way to keep all these players fit this could be the difference in Spurs finishing in the top four this season. Arsenal’s form this season has been strange winning a few games than everybody thinks they are going somewhere then they lose to a poor team so Arsenal have been very inconsistent this season.

I thought that Mikel Arteta handled the Mesut Ozil situation really well because Arteta decided that Ozil wasn’t in his plans so it was the right decision to let him go. Mikel Arteta was forced to play young players such as Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Ayoyinka Saka against Chelsea around Christmas last year.

Since then Emile Smith Rowe and Bakayo Ayoyinka Saka has been Arsenal’s best players because they bring pace, movement and speed to the Arsenal attack and the form of these players has improved Nicholas Pepe as a footballer.

Arsenal’s problem is at the back and they will need to defend well if they want to get against Spurs this weekend. One of the positives from Arsenal’s defence is Kieran Tierney because he has been outstanding for Arsenal this season both at the back and going forward.

There has been some great matches between these teams over the last few years most recently the 5-4 game between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in 2007. I think both teams will score in this game but I think the theme of away wins will continue this weekend with Spurs beaten Arsenal 2-1.
