Adebayor to return after FA decision City striker Emmanuel Adebayor will return to action on Monday night against Aston Villa after he was fined £25,000 and given a suspended two match ban by the FA following his elaborate celebration against Arsenal two weeks ago.

The Togo international had already missed his side’s last three games through a suspension picked up for his clash with Robin Van Persie in the same game.

Speaking after the outcome, City boss Mark Hughes spoke of his delight at the decision.

“There has been a lot said and written about Emmanuel’s goal celebration,” he told the club’s official website.

“We are just glad to put it all behind us now and I am relieved he will be able to play at Aston Villa on Monday night.

“Manu was in great form before his suspension and having him available again is a huge boost to us.”

Adebayor scored four times in his first four Premier League games for City following his summer move to Eastlands from Arsenal.
