Northern Ireland haven’t had too much to shout about in recent years but David Healy played a part in a lot of the good moments.
The 34 year old never really set the world alight at his various clubs, including Manchester United, Leeds United, Preston North End and Fulham, but at international level he regularly put in massive performances.
He netted a more than respectable 36 goals in 95 caps overall and scored a record 13 goals in the European Championship qualifiers as Northern Ireland just failed to make it to Euro 2008.
Healy also bagged the winner over England in 2005 but even that was upstaged by his wonderful hattrick in the shock 3-2 win over Spain at Windsor Park in 2006.
