Mexican commentators will love the US “forever and ever”

by Up Front

Panama’s hopes of reaching a first ever World Cup finals ended in dramatic fashion last night when they conceded two goals in injury time to lose 3-2 to the United States.

A win for the Panamanians would have put them into a playoff with New Zealand for a place in Brazil but the loss meant Mexico will now contest that tie.

The Mexicans lost 2-1 to Costa Rica after yet another lacklustre performance but they won’t care now that fourth place in CONCACAF is secure.

Graham Zusi of Sporting Kansas City and AZ Alkmaar’s Aron Johannsson were the US scorers and the first video below includes the wonderful reaction from Mexican commentators who were watching both games at the same time.

Their colourful summation included a dig at their own players “who do nothing for the shirt”.
