As Celtic exited the Champions League at the hands of Maribor, you would struggle to find anyone happier than those associated with Legia Warsaw.
Having hammered the Scots 6-1 on aggregate in the previous round of qualifiers, Warsaw were booted out of this season’s competition for fielding a suspended player in the final few minutes of the second leg.
They felt hard done by and asked Celtic to give up their default spot, but that was never going to happen.
Interestingly, the two sides could draw each other in the Europa League. Who wouldn’t want to see that?!
