Partly agreed. Spurs found themselves difficult to handle physically-stronger opponents (likes of Stoke, Norwich, etc.) and are unable to break through packed defence - most often they're unable to reach and hence make shots inside the box. Creativity is obviously lacking.

Long-ball counterattacks are proven to be too dangerous for spurs to handle, especially at both full-back positions since they are usually up front for attack. Lloris the "sweeper keeper" helps a bit, but I don't expect it always work. Likes of Lukaku would be very dangerous for Spurs defence.

Another problem I have seen: I can't find anyone in the spurs midfield reliable to handle aerial balls. Rely on Adebayor? He's a striker, man.

There's still plenty of room for spurs to improve. I don't expect Holtby to give a plug-in effect for the team, he's still very young and there's way for him to improve. I will more regard him as a good prospect instead. Besides, there are still too many problems for spurs to hit goals in, doesn't mean adding a world-class striker could get things solved.

While I think Manchester United have the most efficient midfield. The reason I say this is because of the potential of the Spurs midfield, on their very best they can be deadly for any side to face. The addition of Holtby made that view stronger.

You clearly haven't seen many Spurs games. This is a poor article based, no doubt, primarily on assumptions made on the basis of league position. From a Spurs fan.

Well wriiten, as a Spurs fan that made enjoyable reading. The lack of an in-form striker now could cause us problems this season though.
Our defence should also be praised because for the first time in many years we're looking more confident at the back. A world class "sweeper keeper has helped.
