Understand it mightn't even out, but the voters clearly had a lot of love to Neymar. Anyway, just because he's been so successful in the Brazilian league doesn't diminish his excellent 2011. If we'd switch him with, say, Hazard - someone might think he's undeserving of it because he plays in the French league.

I don't think it's laughable that Suarez is below him, and I'm a Liverpool fan. Suarez had a great Copa America, no doubt, but his overall contributions at club level weren't as important as Neymar was in winning the Copa Libertadores, the league and two international tournaments.

Lose all respect when you put Neymar ahead of Vidic, Silva, Schweini and Ibra. Absolutely disgraceful. All this in the playboy Brazilian league, full of promising youngsters and over the hill 30 year olds, no wonder hes hitting them in. Hazard has been player of the year twice in Ligue 1 at 21! Sure he has scored a few international goals, but din't do jack at the Copa America. Laughable that Suarez is below him, and that is from an Arsenal fan.
