With a bit of cash to play around with this week, Ruining Football has decided to bring in-form Everton midfielder Tim Cahill into the fold for the Gameweek 36.
After last week’s disastrous gamble on Carlos Tevez as captain, you would think I w0uld have learnt my lesson and given it to someone obvious this week.
Sadly that hasn’t been the case and Tim Cahill comes straight in to captain the side following three goals in his last two games.
Everton are at home to a Fulham side who will surely be nursing a European hangover following a drawn out round trip to Germany midweek for the semi final of the Europa League.
Cahill’s team mate Leighton Baines continues at the back alongside James Collins and Patrice Evra.
Collins and fellow Villa man Carlos Cuellar both contributed well last week but I didn’t fancy playing both in a local derby as they face rivals Birmingham City.
Speaking of Birmingham, Joe Hart takes over from Thomas Sorensen in goal as his Stoke side travel to leaders Chelsea.
Striker Didier Drogba is a doubt for the hosts, but I still expect Chelsea to destroy them and get back on track after the defeat to Tottenham last week.
Darren Bent has been finding the net again lately and could have another big week with a game against struggling Hull City.
Last week’s points haul of 46 was quite disappointing, with the majority of the points coming thanks to clean sheets from Collins, Cuellar and Evra.
Bent managed to find the net, and in doing so became our most productive forward player for the week as the midfield trio of Adam Johnson, Matthew Etherington and Florent Malouda combined for a total of five points.
The team currently sits in 46,550th place out of a total of 232,343 teams.
