I’m saying it’s a remarkable achievement for his side, not the man himself. They qualified from a difficult group in 2006, finishing above the eventual beaten finalists. I’m pretty confident that they couldn’t really care less how they did it, just as long as they did. They are not Brazil or Real Madrid, they don’t have a past footballing philosophy to live up to.

I think you will find that someone called Kobi Kuhn was in charge of Switzerland at the last World Cup. And the other team they shut out was Ukraine in round of 16 but went out on penalties. It was the most boring, ugly game of the 06 tournament.
