Southampton splash more cash, signing Pablo Osvaldo

In of the most surprising and quick transfers of the summer, Southampton have signed Italian international Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.

It’s not the first big transfer Southampton have made. Last year they managed to lure Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Ramirez to the club for £12million, despite supposed interest from a load of clubs across Europe. Despite an early hiccup, they also signed highly rated Victor Wanyama earlier this summer for a similar fee.

Osvaldo signed for Roma in 2011 for €17.5million and scored 17 goals for them last season.

Southampton certainly have cash to spend, and with existing players such as Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana performing to a high level, should face no relegation trouble this season.

All in all, a very impressive signing for the Saints.
