Well the word among fans is that Djourou will be the starter, considering he is a fantastic defender despite all the injuries. One very notable game was against Chelsea where he did great against Drogba.

Koscielny should start off on the bench.

Just a quick one, why do you think that Djourou will start ahead of Koscielny? Nothing against Djourou, I think if he’s stays off the treatment table he could be a fine player but I’d have thought Koscielny would be Vermaelen’s partner come the start of the season

But if Chelsea are the best team then there’s no point being different for the sake of being different ;)

I don’t think Arsenal will mount a title challenge. They will be top 4 no doubt but for me they are still short of the top two – United and Chelsea.

Better then saying boring old Chelsea.

Arsenal can do it, but it depends on a whole lot of factors particularly keeping RVP and Fab fit, as well as hoping they play on top form.

It’s a bold move to have Arsenal as potential title winners. I don’t see it myself, and I doubt many Gunners do either.

Despite speculating during the off-season (mostly due to being in a state of ennui) that it may be a 4-4-2, it will remain a 4-3-3.

The greater focus however will be defensing as a team to make a better attack. The left central midfielder will drop inside to make a 4-2-3-1 if needed.

Sam Byles is still on the official site http://www.arsenal.com/reserves-youth/players/sam-byles – so I don’t think he’s necessarily off and who and what is Phil Roberts – can’t find him anywhere.
