Schwarzer commits to Fulham until 2011

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has signed a one year extension to his current contract and will remain at the club until at least 2011.

The Australian international was the 2008/09 Player of the Year at Craven Cottage and that fine form has been rewarded by manager Roy Hodgson.

He initially joined on a two year contract from Middlesbrough last summer and was an ever present as Fulham qualified for the Europa League by finishing seventh in the Premiership.

“The club is delighted to announce that Mark Schwarzer has signed a one-year extension to his contract with Fulham – keeping him at the club until the summer of 2011,” a statement on the official Fulham website said.
