Rosicky extends Arsenal stay

Czech Republic international Tomas Rosicky has agreed a new deal with Arsenal, securing his long term future with the club.

The 29 year old, who has had an injury plagued last 18 months, expressed his delight at agreeing terms, though the length of the contract has not been disclosed.

“I am so pleased to have signed a new contract. The last two seasons haven’t been easy for me because of injuries,” he said.

“I feel it speaks volumes about the club’s belief in me for this to be signed, and I truly believe I have a lot left to offer the club, my team-mates and all the supporters.”

Rosicky has scored 14 times in 76 games since joining the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund in 2006.

His present contract was due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
