Manchester United are persisting with their interest in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and The Mirror is reporting that they have made an increased offer for the playmaker.
Borussia Dortmund value the Armenian international at £31 million and United’s latest bid is believed to be £28 million plus add ons.
United tested the water with a low opening offer, which was dismissed by the Bundesliga club.
But having established Dortmund’s £31m valuation of Mkhitaryan in the process of those opening discussions, they have now gone back in with a new proposal that is much closer to the Germans’ price-tag.
Chelsea and Arsenal are two other Premier League clubs that could swoop for Mkhitaryan who was linked with Liverpool before joining Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013.
