Yannick Bolasie has travelled to Merseyside and will undergo a medical ahead of a big money move from Crystal Palace to Everton.
New Toffees boss Ronald Koeman saw his side draw 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur in their season opener on Saturday, and Bolasie would add an exciting element to their attack.
An initial fee of £25 million has been mentioned for the 27-year-old, but that could eventually rise to somewhere in the region of £30 million.
Palace boss Alan Pardew has explored the possibility of replacing Bolasie with the loan signing of Ashley Young but Manchester United would be prefer a permanent deal for the England international.
The Palace manager was a reluctant seller but accepted Bolasie’s “heart and soul may be elsewhere” after Everton formally lodged their interest last week.
Steve Walsh, the Merseysiders’ newly appointed director of football, is a longstanding admirer of the forward and had been interested in taking him to Leicester earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Mile Jedinak is also set to depart Selhurst Park after losing the club captaincy just before the season started, and the Australian international has been heavily linked with a move to Championship side Aston Villa.
