Southampton striker Graziano Pelle could leave St. Mary’s this summer and link up with new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Pelle led the line for Conte’s Italy side at EURO 2016 and he has one year left of his contract with the Saints.
Interest in the 30-year-old could be high, however, with Everton another of the Premier League clubs linked with a big to sign him.
Charlie Austin’s arrival in January was with a view to Pelle’s long-term replacement and the club will also reinvest the funds from their sale of Sadio Mane to Liverpool, potentially worth up to £38.5 million.
Southampton will want at least £10 million for Pelle, which would represent a profit on the £8 million that they paid to bring him to the Premier League from Feyenoord two years ago.
Pelle has scored 31 goals in 80 games for the Saints to date.
Rumours have been rife around the future of Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge so Chelsea could be keen to bring in an out-an-out striker as a potential replacement.
Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi is also set for a move to London after terms were agreed with his current club Marseille.
