Predictions for the 2020/21 football season

There is currently a lot of uncertainty about the completion of the 2019/20 professional football season, especially in Europe.

It is believed that the season will need to be completed by the end of June and if not, a big decision will need to be made by those at the top of the game.

Will the season be null and void or will it continue throughout the summer or as soon as possible, whenever that may be?

If the 2019/20 campaign is to be finished, it may not end until well into the start date of the 2020/21 football season.

Obviously, this will have a significant impact on the 2020/21 season, in terms of the start date, number of fixtures played and the transfer market.

However, the season will take place and now is a good time to look ahead with predictions for the 20/21 football season.

Free sports betting sites will soon be running odds for the major European leagues ready for the 2020/21 campaign, a good example of this would be VOdds.

They’re one of the latest Asian handicap betting platforms on the market. They can offer aggregated real-time odds from a comprehensive list of hard to reach Asian bookies.

Their continuously growing list of bookmakers includes Pinnacle Sports, SBOBET, MaxBet, and lots more.

Some users may access VOdds through vodds.com, vodds.co or vodds.net, or you may use a VPN for uninterrupted access.

Regardless of how the 2019/20 season ends, there is no doubt Liverpool will be the bookies favourites to win the Premier League.

If they manage to keep their first XI in-tact and can add one or two players to really push those currently in the first team Liverpool are going to very difficult to stop.

Once the season is back up and running again, things will move quickly due to the limit time frame ahead so be sure to check football livescore to stay up to date on what will most likely be a cluster of fixtures all playing in a relatively short period of time.

Manchester City will be aiming to return to the top of English football but need to make some moves in the transfer market.

The Citizens clearly need to improve defensively and may also be looking for another striker as Sergio Aguero will be 32 years of age by the time the season begins.

It will be interesting to follow the development of Manchester United, who were looking good before the 2019/20 season was suspended.

They also need to make a couple of key additions if they are to challenge for the Premier League title but if the Red Devils can start strongly, they could be in the mix.

Juventus have been pushed in the 2019/20 Serie A season by Lazio and Inter Milan but will start the 20/21 football season as the clear favourites in Italy.

If Inter Milan can keep hold of Lautaro Martínez, Milan Škriniar and Nicolò Barella plus add another quality player to their ranks, they could push Juventus close.

It is difficult to make a case for Lazio repeating their performance of 19/20.

Moving to Spain and Atletico Madrid could make a good bet to win La Liga. They have not been at their best in 2019/20 but showed what they are capable of by knocking Liverpool out of the Champions League.

They have a group of players all at the right age and it could come good for Diego Simeone in 2020/21.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will begin the season as the favourites with the bookmakers to win La Liga but both teams need to make a move in the transfer market.

Several of the players they have relied upon over the years are getting older. An injection of youth may be required for them to continue competing in the same way they have been over the last decade.

In terms of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich will rightly begin as the favourites and much will depend on the ability of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig to keep hold of their key players.

If both clubs lose important players, it is unlikely they are going to be able to challenge Bayern Munich for the title.
