Portsmouth and Fulham have strengthened their squads with moves for Tommy Smith of Watford and South African international Kagisho Dikgacoi respectively.
Striker Smith has moved to Fratton Park for a deal thought to be in the region of £1.8 million, joins Steve Finnan, Anthony Van Den Borre, Antti Niemi, Aaron Mokoena, and Frederic Piquionne as Paul Hart’s summer signings.
“I’ve liked Tommy for a long time,” said Hart.
“He’s clever, infectious, enthusiastic and a hard worker.
“He can play as a centre forward, behind the centre-forward or out wide, so he covers a lot of positions. He’s going to be a great asset to us.”
Meanwhile, Fulham have finalised a move for South African international Kagisho Dikgacoi.
The 24 year old midfielder has agreed a two year contract with the Cottagers, leaving Golden Arrows of South Africa.
“I am so happy that my transfer to Fulham has been finalised,” said Dikgaco.
“I have spent most of the summer training with the players and getting to know them and all of the coaching staff.
“I have been given a wonderful chance to be part of a fantastic team playing in one of the best leagues in the world, this is something very special to me and an opportunity that I am going to grab with both hands.”
