Totally agree with this and its only going to get worse as Levein has dug a hole for himself with his selfish /wont back down stance ove the absence of Fletcher and his continuation of 1 man up front and if that man continues to be Miller instead of Rhodes we are doomed.Miller has been great over the years but did nothing at Cardiff before going out to graze in Canada.Great article and spot on.

I think the title of Steven's piece summed up the feelings of a nation rather than one man. To compare Levien to Prandelli would be like comparing Lambrini with a fine Italian red however. Levein was a poor appointment and while Prandelli may not have been every Italians choice, the man does at least have some pedigree. Levein - Cowdenbeath, Hearts, Leicester (sacked) and Dundee United, the latter being the only decent job he seems to have done anywhere. I would bet there are still Foxes fans who still shudder at the very mention of his and his sidekick Kenny Black's name. No surprise the old pals act has been resurrected at Hampden.
The two games mentioned were a fantastic opportunity for Scotland to do the unthinkable and start a qualifying campaign with two wins, god one would have been nice. The management team seemed oblivious to what was going on in front of them and after the first game it was obvious to even the most blinkered that something had to change. Kenny Miller is playing in a sub-standard league and is not half the player he was, Jordan Rhodes scores goals for fun and even the likes of Shaun Maloney has been playing reasonably consistently in the EPL. It has to change or i fear there may be a change in management.
