We may be completely biased, but Ireland has one of the best national anthems around for igniting passion ahead of a big football match.
The sound of Amhrán na bhFiann echoing around Lansdowne Road is the perfect mood setter, however somebody in a position of authority decided to go with something different against Sweden last night.
Model Nadia Forde took centre stage and belted out a rendition which has split opinion to say the least.
Check out the video and comments below, is this the right way to get fans pumped for a massive World Cup qualifier? Not for us, and that’s as polite as we can be.
Never mind the match, I still can't get over the fucking STATE of that national anthem.

Nadia Forde absolutely murdered the national anthem.

Well done to Nadia Forde for blasting out the anthem. Loads of people will probably slag her off but I thought it was deadly. #coybig

On another note, Nadia Forde should stick to whatever else she does because singing national anthem is not her thing!

Nadia Forde thought she was Beyonce singing the national anthem "at the ball game". Horrific contrived shite. Never again please.

Getting Nadia Forde to sing anthem was oddest move since Uri Geller offered to fly over pitch doing his thing before game with Switzerland.
