Dutch international Jan Klass Huntelaar is set to join AC Milan, ending a brief spell in Spain with Real Madrid.
Speaking to Sky Italia, Rossoneri chief officer Adriano Galliani confirmed that a deal had been reached between the two clubs for the striker.
“The agreement has already been closed with Real Madrid,” he said. “The Dutch player will be in Milan this evening (Thursday).”
Huntelaar, 25, enjoyed a highly succesful time with Ajax before his January move to Madrid, but has fallen out of favour at the club following the acquisition of Karim Benzema and the return to fitness of Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
German side Stuttgart were heavily linked with a move for the player but he is now set to join the seven-time European champions.
