Germany’s World Cup hopes have been dealt a massive blow with the news that Marco Reus will miss the tournament through injury.
The 25-year-old Borussia Dortmund forward suffered a partial tear of his left ankle ligament in the 6-1 win over Armenia and the German FA today confirmed his removal from the 23-man squad.
Sampdoria defender Shkodran Mustafi will be Reus’ replacement.
