Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is a wanted man, and Manchester United could be about to bid a world record fee to secure his services for a second time.
The 23-year-old is on the radar of a number of clubs but United are determined to get their man, even if it costs somewhere in the region of €120 million (£100 million).
Pogba was part of the United academy from 2009 but departed the club for Serie A due to frustrations over the lack of first team football.
He has been a revelation in Turin, winning four Serie A titles and the Champions League among other honours.
Initial contact has been made and United are hopeful of concluding a deal to shatter the £85million paid by Real for Gareth Bale three years ago.
Pogba is set to play for France tonight in their Euro 2016 semi-final against Germany. Jose Mourinho sees him as the fourth “specialist” player he is seeking as part of his squad rebuilding plans at Old Trafford.
United have already secured the services of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrik Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly this summer, but Pogba be the biggest coup as the Jose Mourinho era gets underway.
As well as the sizeable transfer fee, Pogba could earn a whopping €350,000 (£300,000)-a-week at Old Trafford.
He is currently part of the France squad aiming to reach the EURO 2016 Final by beating Germany later today.
