El Mundo Deportivo says a number of English clubs are lining up a January offer for Barcelona and Spanish midfielder Sergi Roberto.
The 21 year-old has only played seventeen minutes of football for the Spanish giants this season and his out-of-favour status has piqued the interest of the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea, according to reports in Spain.
The Spaniard has a €20million release clause on his contract. He is very highly rated, but as things stand is far from ousting the likes of Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas in the Barcelona starting eleven, and for the foreseeable future looks to be very much a bit-part player.
Such has been the success of Spanish midfielders in the Premier League over the last few years, a €20million fee to deliver him to England may be money worth spending for these sides.
