The Daily Star report that Liverpool are confident of completing the move for the 21-year-old winger, who plays with Basel and scored for the Swiss side in both the home and away ties against Chelsea in the Champions League.

Salah has scored 17 goals in 26 games for his country. Liverpool’s need to replenish their ranks in order to maintain a title bid, and after the major success of Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho from last January’s transfer period, looking to cheaper, versatile players who can make an impact would particularly being an automatic starter in the team.

It was believed Tottenham were also interested in the player, but Liverpool are favourites to bring him to England.

  1. hmm hope he will play regularly in Liverpool..It’s a waste of money when BR bought Albert and aspas, but didn’t play them regularly..and BR waste of their talent..WAKE UP Brendan Rodger!!!!!..Your midfielder players are very poor in quality!!!!!!!

  2. Poor players leads to defeat, lack of creativity bring the package on table to purchase Yuan Iturbe(Helas verone) and Fernando Geyes ( Porto )you’ll see next . Iturbe plays same as coutinho same calibe he is left footed while Fernando is a marathon defensive midfielder ,so easy for him to chase ball

  3. Let LFC scout for quality and not quantity, poor midfield is leading their down fall. The attackers are doing well but d middle? Osh. Look out for Gerald’s type and bring him.
