Didn't realise Torres had that many goals this season, not sure if he could maintain that level if he played a full season though.

What it does show is that the Premier League has three of the top strikers in world football, imagine how many goals any of the three could have got playing in Ibrahimovic's position in the Barcelona side this season.

And lets face it, all three are more than capable.

I agree Sacchian, to a certain extent. This article is all about goals. Strikers are meant to score goals, and these can be brought into statistics like they are today.

But of course strikers have a whole lot more to their game, which can't be made up with numbers. My point would be someone like Drogba would be far more productive defensively against free kicks, corners or whatever then the other two.

Too much emphasis on stats for me mate. They're a politician's argument and never develop the full story. For example, Rooney may have had 12 assists last season or whatever, but I guarentee most of them came through a killer ball by Scholes or Carrick to Rooney, who can then play the simple pass to his teammate and gets wrongly credited with the assist.

Nice overview of the three of them though.
