Lescott dropped for Europa tie
Wantaway defender Joleon Lescott has been dropped from the Everton squad to face Sigma Olomouc in the Europa League play-off first leg amid ongoing rumours that he wants to join Manchester CIty.
The England international did not train with the first team today after a dismal performance in the 6-1 defeat at home to Arsenal at the weekend.
“Joleon’s attitude has not been right these past days, he has disappointed me and he has disappointed his team-mates,” said manager David Moyes.
“He is not in the right frame of mind.”
However, Everton still maintain that the defender is not for sale.
Lescott last week handed in a formal transfer request which was rejected by the club.
