He was a sink estate product from Liverpool and I’m aware he’s not alone in having leapt from there to the untold riches of Premiership football. Not everyone deals well with that Gerrad in court, Rooney cavorting with prostitutes to name but two. I believe Barton’s actually quite bright and probably didn’t do himself justice in school, studying not seen as cool in that environment esp. if you’re an outstanding footie player. He puts the brakes on his alcohol consumption and that’s easier said than done, and things generally improve. He enjoins the social internet world and |God bless him he has a view on things…he’s entitled as are we all. Footballers aren’t reknowned for being thinkers and Joey is a mould breaker in that regard. I hope he gets beyond this suspension and resumes his career, he’ll be under a deal of provocation.
