Hull set to sign Stephen Hunt

Football - Birmingham City v Reading CocaHull City have agreed a deal with Reading for Irish international Stephen Hunt, and the player has settled personal terms with the club.

Hunt has been linked with a number of Premier League sides in the past after Reading were relegated to the Championship the season before last.

Reading manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted in the past he faces losing Hunt to a Premier League club, and it looks Hull have won the race to sign him.

The Waterford man is finally set to leave the Madjeski Stadium, with Phil Brown keen to increase the goals in midfield by opting for the attack-minded midfielder.

Hunt is understood to have left Ireland’s training camp to hold further talks at the KC, but he is set to return in time for Wednesday’s interntaional friendly with Australia in Thomond Park.
