Three games and three defeats is a miserable record at a major tournament, and the lads try their best to look at what went wrong for Ireland. Even with an improved performance against Italy, the end result was still the same and there are questions asked about where this group of players, as well as the manager, go from here.
With the quarter finals almost upon us, there’s discussion over who has the potential to go all the way, and Willie in particular voices his disgust at Greece’s presence in the knockout stages.
In part two, it’s goodbye to Ger and Willie and hello to Mina Rzouki who joins Neil to talk about the Italians’ progress thus far. She also offers her thoughts on the Irish situation with Trapattoni and believes all might not be lost as far as the near future goes.
