The pod crew may have had some time off but the football world doesn’t rest meaning there’s plenty to talk about for the first show of 2013.

First up it’s the FA Cup with Liverpool to the fore following their struggle against Mansfield Town and the controversy surrounding Luis Suarez’s. Paul and Willie are in agreement that the whole thing is a fuss over nothing given the antics that go on week in, week out these days. After the dust has settled on that game, there’s a look at some of the other ties as well as the rather underwhelming draw for the fourth round.

The Premier League action has come think and fast lately with Manchester United’s form impressing Ger. The discussion then moves to the plight of those clubs battling relegation, and Stoke City who continue to enjoy stability under Tony Pulis.

No pod would be complete without a mention of Marion Balotelli, and to round off there’s comment on yet another predictable Ballon D’Or.
