If you didn’t know who each of the pod regulars supports there will be no doubt following this week’s edition of Hold the BackPage!

In part 1 of the show, the lads review the midweek Champions League action as Manchester United take the upperhand in their clash with Chelsea. Ger cries into his pint following Tottenham’s mauling in Madrid, before Schalke earn praise for their stunning performance in Milan against Inter.

MLS expert Michael Orr then chats to Neil and Ger about the emergence of the Portland Timbers, the league as a whole, and Chad Ochocinco’s recent tryout in Kansas City. Michael is the presenter of the excellent Mao’s Football Show which goes out live on Cascadia.fm twice a week. You can also check out their podcast here.

To wrap up the show it’s all things Premier League with the FA’s decision to charge Wayne Rooney for his expletive filled indiscretion amongst the hot topics. The title race and battle to survive the drop also get a mention while Neil takes an opportunity to lavish praise on Manchester City for their big weekend win.
