No surprise where the pod starts this week with Neil taking plenty of time to gloat after Manchester City’s resounding 6-0 win over Ger’s Tottenham Hotspur. Paul is pleased to have called a draw in the Merseyside Derby as Everton and Everton shared the spoils in a 3-3 thriller. Arsenal claimed a big win over fellow high flyers Southampton, is it time they were taken more seriously as title contenders?

There’s three big refereeing decisions on the list of talking points, and all are in agreement that the referee was wrong in each case.

In the Champions League, there was a big win for Manchester United and all of the English are set to progress to the knockout stages with Arsenal currently their group and Manchester City and Chelsea already through. One side who won’t be there is Celtic after their poor showing at home to AC Milan, while Barcelona were on the end of a somewhat surprising defeat to Ajax.

Last on the agenda, but possibly one of the most important topics at the moment, is Shamrock Rovers’ plan to add a B team to the League of Ireland First Division in 2014, a move that is not supported by any of the lads.
