The podcast returns in the wake of two big Euro 2016 qualifiers for Ireland, with Martin O’Neill’s side finishing third in Group D to make the playoffs. The lads break down the week that was, discussing the pros and cons before giving their preferences for this coming Sunday’s draw.
There’s credit for some of the smaller nations like Northern Ireland and Wales who will make their European Championship debut next summer, while there’s head scratching at the disaster that was the Dutch campaign.
Jurgen Klopp’s appointment is the primary focus of the Premier League discussion, with Paul airing on the side of caution and Neil not too impressed with them media circus surrounding the German so far.
Both Neil and Paul think that Sam Allardyce is a solid appointment at Sunderland, and their weekend fixture away to West Bromwich Albion is picked out as one to watch.
