There is collective disappointment with the news that David Moyes has been relieved of his duties at Old Trafford after less than a full season in charge. Who takes over? Will they make drastic changes to the playing personnel?

The two Champions League games yielded just one goal between them but both were intriguing ties nonetheless. Chelsea and Real Madrid will be happy with their positions going into next week’s second legs, will Jose Mourinho get a crack at his former side in the final?

Paul is still in denial about Liverpool’s title prospects, while there’s praise for Everton who could still pip Arsenal for fourth spot.

To round off, Cork City’s unbeaten start to the League of Ireland season and strong crowds deserve some of the limelight with Ger only too happy to wax lyrical about his local side.
