The first weekend of the new Premier League season provided plenty of talking points, not least at Old Trafford where Manchester United suffered their first home opening day defeat since 1972 at the hands of Swansea City.

Last season’s top two, Manchester City and Liverpool, both picked up wins, as did Arsenal and Chelsea, while Ger is understandably happy with the character shown by Spurs when beating West Ham.

Away from the English top flight, the lads discuss the rise to prominence of social media and technology before rounding off with some League of Ireland debate over the late cancellation of Monday’s Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers clash.
